Jim began his career in 1982 as a camera operator for Central Television.
Ten years later he became a freelance studio manager at The London Studios.
He was later able to realise his real goal of being a Production Manager by joining Celador in its Who Wants to be a Millionaire? heyday. Through Celador, Jim became General Manager of Editworks later joining his fellow company Directors in a management buyout and re-location of the company to Charlotte Street.
However, after a period of time he returned to production management, working for many leading independent producers before joining Spun Gold in 2007 where he continues to enjoy contributing to the success of the company.
